Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Mediabuddy you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The Service

Mediabuddy is a personal movie and TV show tracker that helps you keep track of what you watch, discover new content through AI recommendations, and manage your viewing habits. The service includes a free tier and an optional paid subscription (Mediabuddy+).

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Mediabuddy.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
  • One account per person. Automated or shared accounts are not allowed.

4. Subscriptions

  • Mediabuddy+ subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Pricing is displayed before purchase.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
  • Abuse, overload, or interfere with the service.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the service.

6. Content

Movie and TV show metadata (titles, posters, descriptions) is provided by TMDB and is subject to their terms. User-generated content (ratings, tags, notes) belongs to you.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings, which removes all your data.

8. Disclaimer

Mediabuddy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that recommendations will match your preferences or that the service will be uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mediabuddy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
